National Association of Letter Carrier's Food Drive - Held Annually in May
On this day Postal Workers throughout the Nation collect non-perishable food to be disbursed to local food pantries. Niagara County led the nation in pounds of food collected for many years.
Make a Difference Day - Held the 1st Wednesday in August
This newspaper sale is sponsored by the Greater Niagara Newspapers. Volunteers sell special editions of theLockport Union Sun & Journal on street corners. One hundred per cent of the proceeds of this event is donated to the United Way.
Day of Caring - Campaign Kick Off - Held Mid August
Join in the fun and celebrate volunteerism on this year's Day of Caring. Volunteers are paired up with local non-profit organizations to clean, paint, fix up and do what ever needs to be done!
Niagara County Legislature Tees off for the United Ways -Held the 1st Friday in September each year
Come out and enjoy a day of golf and good food. Or just take a couple of hours to volunteer to cook hot dogs, or help with raffles.
Protect Our Children
This is an interactive school/community event that helps parents gain access to the multiple child identification and protection programs available in Niagara County.
